Occupational Health and Safety Policy

Purpose

Acting with a customer-focused management approach to create the highest value for all its stakeholders, our organization has adopted acting within ethical rules — prioritizing respect for laws and regulations — as a fundamental requirement. Aware of its responsibilities toward the environment and society, and as a pioneering organization in its sector in terms of technology and quality, our Occupational Health and Safety Policy reflects the paramount value we place on people.

Scope

It covers all activities that directly or indirectly affect the operations of FORTE Kent and all its affiliated businesses.

Definitions

• Occupational health and safety: Systematic work designed and carried out to protect against and prevent conditions and/or materials that may be harmful to health during workplace operations.
• Work accident: Any event at the workplace causing material damage or injury.
• Occupational disease: Diseases arising from the working environment and/or working method, which may result in death or permanent disability.
• Hazard: A potential source or situation that may cause injury or illness, or damage to materials, property or the environment.
• Accident: An event at the workplace resulting in injury, illness, material damage or death.
• Health: A state of complete physical and mental well-being.
• Risk: The probability of a specific hazard occurring and its possible consequences.

Legal Framework

FORTE Kent Teknolojileri conducts its activities in accordance with local and international occupational health and safety regulations and the relevant legislation. Where these are insufficient or absent, practices in line with the sector's general practices and international custom are applied.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Occupational Health and Safety Policy, established by the management systems coordination office, is reviewed together with human resources and all units, and is updated and managed by the management systems coordination office.

General Principles

In line with our vision of being a pioneer in our target regions, the Occupational Health and Safety Policy established and declared by FORTE Kent Teknolojileri A.Ş. consists of the following elements:

• Legal regulations on occupational health and safety, international standards and all ethical rules are complied with in the regions where we operate; a systematic and creative management approach is adopted.
• Management systems are established and implemented in the businesses in order to identify factors that may cause work accidents and occupational diseases, to determine and analyse risks, to protect employees' individual health, to make working and environmental conditions healthy and safe, to organize methods and functions for taking the necessary measures, and to eliminate hazards.
• Occupational health and safety measures not only increase our employees' workforce capacity and productivity but also contribute to the competitiveness of the businesses.
• Developing employees' knowledge of their work through training, increasing social and cultural activities, and maximizing morale and motivation are targeted for both safety and productivity.
• Forte Kent Teknolojileri A.Ş. prioritizes occupational health and safety in all its activities and encourages and supports its stakeholders and suppliers in this regard.
